The dates of the opening of museums on the island of Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi became known

The tourism development and investment company has unveiled the opening dates of three museums on Saadiyat Island, the future cultural center of Abu Dhabi and the world.

The first to be opened is the Louvre Abu Dhabi in 2015. A year later, the National Museum named after Sheikh Zayed (Zayed National Museum) will open its doors to visitors. The cultural ensemble of the island will be completed by the Guggenheim Museum of Abstract Art (Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum), which is scheduled to open in 2017.

All three sites will be built as part of the strategic program of the Abu Dhabi government to increase the tourist attractiveness of the region and attract travelers from around the world. Well-known world architects are involved in the development of projects. The Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum was designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel. To work on the concept of the Sheikh Zayed National Museum, no less famous designer Lord Norman Foster was involved. One of the largest architects of our time, Frank Owen Gary, created the project of the Guggenheim Museum of Abstract Art.
