Dubai La Perle Aqua Show pays off in five years

La Perle's new water show, which kicks off in December at Al Habtur City in Dubai, is expected to recoup costs over 5 years.

Franco Dragone, art director and creator of the La Perle aqua show, worth at least $ 120 million, said in an interview with Gulf Business that it will pay off in 5 years from its launch in December at Al Habtur City in Dubai.

According to Franco, the show will pay particular attention to the transformation of Dubai and its status as a “crossroads of civilizations” in the Middle East.

The show will feature 65 artists performing breathtaking aerial and water stunts in front of an auditorium that seats up to 1300 people.

Dragon concerts are famous all over the world. They settle in places like Las Vegas, Orlando and Macau. When asked how long he had been waiting for the show to be organized in Dubai, Franco said that he had to launch La Perle in the emirate for the first time before the 2008 economic crisis.

“It is important for us to stay here forever to create a theatrical tradition. This is a new market, it should be understood and some risks taken, ”he said,“ We will do our best to make his presentation successful. We have turned Las Vegas into a place where people come to see the show. Before, there was only a place for gambling. ”

Explaining the choice of venue, Dragone said: “Dubai is for me the laboratory of the future. There is much that can make the UAE a center, a crossroads of the world. The goal of my company has always been immersion in the culture of the country we come to and inspiration by this country. This show will be specially prepared for Dubai ... The presentation will reflect the multicultural aroma of Dubai. The world will come here in four years at Expo 2020, so there is no doubt that everything happens in Dubai earlier than anywhere else, ”he added.

Revealing the details of the show, Franco said that for his troupe he hired top-level performers from around the world. It is assumed that the person’s impressive tricks and abilities will come to the fore on the stage, since the attention of a modern audience is very short-term. Franco also said that he plans to eventually create an academy for artists in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as part of the project.

The presentation manager intends to attract more than 500 thousand customers during the first year at a ticket price in the range of 400 to 700 dirhams ($ 108.9 - $ 190.6). The main target audience Dragone calls traveling families of spectators.

“It is important to create a universal language that everyone can understand, something that speaks to your soul. A balance must be struck between art and business. The public deserves a high-quality product, and this is what we will provide it with, ”added Franco Dragon.
