The Russians living in the UAE took part in the election of deputies of the State Duma

On December 4, 2011, the Russian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates organized and held the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the sixth convocation for Russian citizens in the country.

On the territory of the embassy and consulate, polling stations were opened, which worked from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. 246 voters came to the polling station in the consular section of the embassy. It is pleasant to note that students studying in the UAE, as well as young people who are only 18 years old, expressed their citizenship.

Everyone who voted for the first time received a gift from the election commission as a chocolate bar "Alenka", as well as a commemorative badge on the 2011 elections.

The vote counts revealed the following results: "United Russia" - 90, the Communist Party - 61, "Yabloko" - 35, "Fair Russia" - 28, LDPR - 23, "Patriots of Russia" - 4, and "Just Cause" - 3. They were declared invalid. 2 newsletters. The relevant results and the protocol of the precinct election commission were timely submitted to the CEC and taken into account when summing up the election results in the Russian Federation.
