At a ceremony organized by the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the awards were presented to 50 philanthropists in four categories: “Outstanding Art Patrons”, “Art Patrons”, “Art Sponsors” and “Friends of Art” . Addressing guests and participants of the ceremony, His Majesty Sheikh Majid bin Muhammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, who is chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, said that over the past three years, the art and culture sector of Dubai has received assistance from patrons in the amount of over 220 million dirhams ( US $ 60 million).
The French brand Van Cleef & Arpels, recognized as the most valuable Patron of the Arts, has been contributing to the development and support of Dubai's art since 2009.
