The evening pleased not only long-time fans of opera, but also those who were just beginning to comprehend the music. Following successful performances in Dubai last year, Opera UK returned to the emirate, this time with a collection of classic opera arias from famous works - from Bohemia and Madame Butterfly to The Marriage of Figaro and the most famous tenor aria from the last act of the famous “Turandot” by Giacomo Puccini “Let No One Sleep” (“Nessun Dorma”). A troupe of six talented vocalists performed for the enthusiastic audience the best arias from more than 20 famous operas, collecting them in one stunning evening.
Among the audience were employees and customers of The First Group, each of whom was given VIP invitations for the evening. “It was a wonderful performance. I absolutely fell in love with the opera!” Said Gary Shepherd, co-founder and chairman of the board of The First Group. “Our company is proud of its cooperation with the city’s most beloved theater, and we are going to present even more cultural events of this level to all the citizens and guests of Dubai.”
If for some reason you missed an opera evening, don't be discouraged, everything is just beginning! Already on May 19, The First Group Theater presents a unique show of South African music and dance called "Umoja - The Spirit of Togetherness" ("Umoja - the spirit of unity").
