UAE federal laws will be translated into English

The UAE Ministry of Justice launched a project, as a result of which all federal laws of the country will be translated into English, which will make their content accessible to the general public.

The translators were given the texts of all federal laws, of which there are 681 units in the UAE. At the moment, they all officially have only the Arabic version. According to Dr. Ibrahim Al Hosseini, Deputy Minister of Justice of the UAE, the need to translate laws from Arabic into English is long overdue, and now has become extremely important for the effective functioning of a multinational emirate society. English versions of the laws will be posted on the UAE Ministry of Justice portal on the Internet as they become available from translators.
