Beo5 - a brand new remote control from Bang & olufsen

Bang & Olufsen spent much more effort and time than other manufacturers of home audio and video equipment to carry out design work related to the development of principles of intuitive control and integration. The fully developed control language is currently compatible with all Bang & Olufsen remote-controlled device configurations. With the new Beo5 remote control, the company takes it one step further: Bang & Olufsen introduces an extremely flexible and user-friendly remote control with which you can control any Bang & Olufsen unit or configuration, even those whose features and functions so far not yet known.

For each client - his own remote control

It sounds simple, but it really is. Beo5 goes on sale without any settings made at the Bang & Olufsen factory, however, before you get to the customer’s house, the console is set up by qualified specialists.

The Beo5 can be configured to work with almost any system installed in your home. You can enable or disable buttons and functions. For example, you can arrange the buttons in such a way that it is convenient to use your left hand for control. You can combine the control of your audio and video equipment with the control of other remotely controlled systems, such as lighting, curtains, windows, air conditioners or burglar alarms - and at the same time you will be in complete control of the situation, comfortably sitting in your favorite chair.

The Beo5 programmable remote control is equipped with a color touch-sensitive liquid crystal display with a chemically resistant front glass coating. This allows you, by touching the surface of the display, to activate the functions appropriate for your equipment.

The display control technique is based on two different types of touch control: the detection operation - you find the button, and the touch operation - you actually activate the function by pressing the button. There are 12 such so-called dynamic buttons, which can be assigned names or move them in accordance with the wishes of the client.

The unusual appearance of Beo5 is a consequence of the contrast of outlines - a circle and a square. A spherical aluminum body element with tactile keys and a spherical volume control in combination with a square-shaped display and its touch keys.

Ergonomics Beo5 worked a lot. Numerous tests with the participation of users have shown that the three-dimensional shape of the spherical element and the design of the back ensure reliable fixation of the device in the hand and reduce the distance between your index finger and the most remote elements of the remote control. Important properties are correctly selected mass and balancing, which are ensured by placing a tungsten balancer inside a spherical element. Carefully selected materials emphasize the expressiveness of workmanship and durability.

Using your Beo5 may remind you to use your Bang & Olufsen cordless phone. Install the remote control in the charger at least once every 10-12 days, and the batteries will always be in working condition. The smart adaptive charging circuit will constantly provide the highest battery life for your Beo5 batteries.

Among other things, Beo5 withstands harsh mechanical loads, extreme temperatures and hard impact tests. Therefore, you can not be afraid that drop the remote control on the floor - just lift it and you again control it!
