Abu Dhabi will be fined for mistakes on signs

The municipality of Abu Dhabi has passed a decree according to which it will fine for grammar and spelling mistakes made on the signs.

Now, when placing signs in Abu Dhabi, you need to get special permission. In addition, the text should not contain spelling errors. For posting signs without permission, as well as in the presence of spelling or grammatical errors will be fined.

According to the head of the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities of Falah Mohammed Al Ahbabi, when advertising without permission, the advertiser will be fined 5,000 dirhams. Spelling mistakes on posters will cost 1000 dirhams.

If the advertisement contains incorrect or misleading information, the advertiser faces a fine of AED 10,000.

The law applies to both permanent and temporary signs in public places.

Now, without obtaining special permission and following the instructions specified in the official guide issued by the municipality of Abu Dhabi, it will be impossible to advertise.
