Holidays Announced for UAE Public Sector in Eid Al Fitr

This week, the United Arab Emirates begins to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

In the UAE, public holidays have been announced for Eid al-Fitra.

The first day of the holiday will begin on Thursday, June 14, and will last until the third Chavval. Depending on when the Eid begins, this day will fall either on Sunday, June 17, or on Monday, June 18.

If Eid al-Fitr coincides with Friday (Ramadan in this case lasts 29 days), state ministries and departments will be closed until Sunday, and their work will resume on Monday. If Eid al-Fitr coincides with Saturday, Ramadan will last 30 days, and state institutions will open only on Tuesday.

Holidays for the private sector have not yet been announced, but they are expected to be announced shortly. Eid al-Fitr weekends usually last three days for the public sector and two days for the private.

The Federal Human Resources Management Authority conveyed congratulations to President Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, as well as rulers of other emirates.
