BRIGHT, MONOGRAPHIC, SILK, WITH MASSIVE BROOMS - TURBINS BY LAW CAN BE RELATED TO THE MOST STYLISH HEADDRESSES. HOLY MONTH RAMADAN - GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO TEST ON THIS EASTERN ATTRIBUTE!

Exactly seven years later, Miuccia Prada breathed new life into the turbans, presenting them at the Spring-Summer 2007 show in Milan. Since then, they have been wandering from collection to collection of many designers - Jason Wu, Milly, Giorgio Armani, Missoni.

The homeland of the turban is, of course, the East. From ancient times, this headdress was associated with religion - during the prayer, many peoples covered their heads, wrapped pieces of material on them, and left their forehead open. From the mysterious Persia, the turban fell into exotic India, and from there, through no less exciting North Africa and Central Asia, it was transported to Europe.

In France, a turban as a fashion accessory came into use in connection with the campaigns of Napoleon, who brought exotic trophies from the countries of the East.

But it was introduced to the masses by the 20th century French designer Paul Poiret, who believed that this headpiece emphasizes the beauty of the face. At that time, a turban could only be worn at an official reception, as it was considered a formal headdress. In Russia, the peak of popularity of the turban fell on the "Russian Seasons" by Sergey Diaghilev and their wonderful artist-decorator Leon Bakst.

Largely due to the phenomenon of street fashion and bloggers, this amazing accessory associated with the fabulous spicy East has regained its relevance. In the old days, turbans were made from expensive, luxurious fabrics such as velvet and brocade. In our region, in the summertime, it is best to give preference to light natural textures: linen, cotton and silk.

The turban can be worn both with loose hair, in the style of the 70s, when it again became popular, and with gathered ones, while emphasizing the cheekbones and neck. Thanks to the turban, the image immediately gains a twist. However, it is worth noting that the turbans are best combined with flowing fabrics and maxi skirts in ethnic style - everything is like in the East!
