New water taxi routes launched in Dubai

The Dubai Roads and Transport Committee (RTA) has launched water taxi routes from Dubai Bay and Dubai Marina to Jumeirah Open Beach Station, which should stimulate the further development of maritime transport in the emirate. Baha Al Kudra, director of the RTA Maritime Transport Agency, said: “By launching new routes, we facilitate access for tourists and everyone to see the city and historical sights. So, they have already had the opportunity to see the Festival City, Dubai Marina Bay and old markets from the water Deira. New taxis will run not on demand, but on a schedule, which will make them even more affordable and convenient. "

It is worth noting that from the beginning of July taxis run on two new routes: at 08.00 they depart from Dubai Bay and arrive at the Jumeirah Open Beach station at 09.45. The taxi returns to the flight at 12.30 and arrives at its destination at 14.00. The next taxi leaves at 09.00 and arrives at 15.00. On the way, each vehicle will make 2 stops - on Bani Yas Square and on the old Deira Market.

Taxis departing from Dubai Marina Mall will run twice a day without stops: they will leave at 09.00 and at 10.00, the journey takes 45 minutes. Transport from Jumeirah Open Beach will depart at 12.30 and 14.15. On the way, passengers will be able to see the alluvial islands erected off the coast of Dubai.
