Dubai ranks fourth in terms of satisfaction with residents

A large-scale study of the socio-economic status of Dubai showed that the people of the emirate are among the happiest in the world.

The second edition of the Dubai Pulse Report, released this week, showed that people’s satisfaction with life reaches an average of 6.9 points. With this indicator, the emirate ranks fourth after New Zealand, Holland and Finland. At the same time, the government is directing its efforts to make Dubai even more accessible for various modes of transport.

According to the report, the level of satisfaction with infrastructure among pedestrians is 65%, while 45% of residents said that it was impossible to get to some points of the city on foot.

Aisha Miran, Assistant Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai, said the government will work to expand access for pedestrians throughout the city with the addition of 900 km of bike lanes in the next 10 years.

93% of residents trust Dubai police, and 83% trust the judicial system.

According to earlier research from Mercer, Dubai has become the best Middle Eastern city for expats and 75th in the world ranking.
