The First Gourmet Abu Dhabi Awards, held on February 10 of this year, brought together more than three hundred hotel workers, as well as Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnun Al Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.
In eight categories, in which more than 110 nominees of local hotel chains and restaurants were represented, two luxurious restaurants Anar and Diwan L'Auberge, located in Emirates Palace, received deserved prestigious awards. The Iranian restaurant Anar became a nominee in two categories at once: Restaurant of the Year in the Region and Manager of the Year in the Region, in which Adel Danihasseli, restaurant manager, became the winner. The Lebanese restaurant Diwan L'Auberge won the "Chef of the Region" nomination thanks to chef Ali Sharaf.
